A trip to North Wales

Well 2019 as like many years seems to be flying by and I can’t believe we are halfway through the year already. A couple of times of year I stay in North Wales and use Llandudno as a base as I love spending time in the place.

This brings back happy memories from my childhood when we used to have a caravan, on a farm in Colwyn Bay, so used to go to Llandudno many times.

I arrived in Llandudno around 2pm and the sun was shining. It is great when you drive in knowing that you have a relaxing few days ahead.

After checking in to the hotel, it was time to walk across the road and sit on the front to just chill out in the sun and hear the waves crashing against the beach.

After a couple of hours sitting in the sun we got a coffee from a local cafe which was only a two minute walk from the hotel. After that it was back to the hotel then off out for a something to eat.

We ended up having a drink and meal at “The Cottage Loaf” which is a lovely pub just off the main road, in town and behind the Wetherspoons pub. The food is very nice and there is a good atmosphere.

On the Thursday morning we had a lovely breakfast with this view.

After breakfast we had a walk on the front and the pier then decided to take a drive to Conwy. This is is only about 5 miles away and you can be there within 10-15 minutes.

There is lots to do in Conwy including the castle, boat rides, lots of small shops, cafes and the waterfront which includes the smallest house.

The last day was spent in Llandudno in the morning with a trip up the Great Orme. There is a cafe at the top and wonderful views in all directions. There are different ways to go up and down the Great Orme including driving yourself, by bus, by cable car or using the tram which is what we did.

The afternoon was spent on the other side of Llandudno, on the North Shore, which is very picturesque but quieter than the main front by the pier.

The last evening was spent out for a drive. We went to Deganwy which overlooks the bay at Conwy and had a drink and a meal at the Quay Hotel and Spa. This was a nice place and views were amazing.

We then went on to Conwy and had a drink in the Liverpool Arms pub on the waterfront.

Then it was back to Llandudno where there was a lovely sunset.

I would highly recommend a trip to North Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 especially Llandudno and the surrounding areas. I am already looking forward to my next trip.

Life can be like a rollercoaster 🎢 One minute everything can be going great, then the next, things can go horribly wrong.

One of the worst things that can happen is when someone close to you passes away. The pain is horrible and you never get over it.Your life goes on but the pain doesn’t ease and you still miss them each day.

That empty space that is left behind, those things that you always did together that you can no longer do or if you can, they just aren’t the same without that person.

The family gatherings that just aren’t the same without them there.

You still have the memories, the photos, the dvds, etc but life is never the same again.

It’s a nice thought to think that when we die we go to heaven where are loved ones are waiting for us.How I would love to spend time with my Dad again.Spend time with my relatives who have passed away.My best mate who died five years ago.Hopefully one day we will all meet again…

Dave’s Travels

Here are a few of my photos from my travels. The first one is from Carlisle which is a great base so you can visit places like the Lake District or if you fancy travelling over the border to get married at Gretna Green or travel further to Edinburgh. You can also have a great day at Carlisle races 🐎 Another place that I like to visit is Blackpool where obviously there are loads to do including a trip on the famous trams 🚃 , going up the Blackpool tower, the piers, many places to eat and drink, a lot of hotels 🏨 to stay at with reasonable prices, Madame Tussauds and many more tourist attractions. Another place I like to visit is Southport which has lots of shops, bars and restaurants, hotels 🏨 and a pier. Another great place to visit is Chester which has lots of shops, pubs and restaurants or if you fancy a day at the races or just to sit down by the river Well that’s all for today folks…until my next travels….

North Wales

Llandudno in North Wales is such a lovely place. It is so picturesque whatever season it is. Whether it be Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter. It is a great place to spend a break and is also a good place to be based so you can also visit other places in North Wales close by like Conwy and Anglesey. There is so much to do and see in Llandudno whether you want to be active or just relax on the seafront. The buses can take you to places like Conwy or you can get the tram up the Great Orme. There are loads of places to eat and drink with my favourite being the The Cottage Loaf. I would highly recommend a visit to Llandudno 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
